Building a Life in Canada courses:

Living with diversity

What the course is about

This course helps participants explore and better understand privilege, oppression, and fairness in today’s Canadian society. By learning about different identities, personal stories, and how society is structured, participants will see how inequality affects our communities and workplaces.
The course focuses on respectful, inclusive communication, especially around the experiences, struggles, and strength of 2SLGBTQ+ people. Students will be encouraged to think about their own values and actions, and learn how to help create more fair and welcoming spaces for everyone.

Time allocation: 3 hours of videos + 1 hour of independent activity
