What the course is about
This course is designed to help immigrant parents and adult newcomers understand and navigate the Canadian education system—both for their children and for themselves. It offers a comprehensive overview of education systems from early childhood through academic and career-focused education.
Participants will gain the knowledge and tools needed to make informed educational decisions, support their children's learning and integration, and access the supplemental education many adults need to pursue employment in Canada. The course also explores cultural norms, legal expectations, and practical strategies for thriving within Canada’s diverse and inclusive learning environments.
Time allocation: ~3 hours of videos + ~1hour of independent activities
