Your human rights in Canada
What the course is about
What rights do we have as people living in Canada, and how are those rights protected? This course introduces participants to the basic rights and freedoms of everyone in the country. Participants will learn how these rights apply to daily life, workplaces, and public services, and how they guide the way institutions treat people. Participants will explore what happens when people’s rights or beliefs come into conflict, and how Canada works to balance individual freedom with public safety in a diverse society.
Time allocation:42 min. of videos + 1 hour of independent activity
