What the course is about
What rights do you have in Canada, and how are those rights protected? This course introduces you to the basic rights and freedoms of everyone in the country. You will learn how these rights apply to daily life, workplaces, and public services, and how they guide the way institutions treat people. You will explore what happens when different people’s rights or beliefs come into conflict, and how Canada works to balance individual freedoms with public safety in such a diverse society.
